Assessment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In order to take your first ride you will need to book an assessment with us. This will take place at our base at Aberystwyth Harbour. When booking, it will help if you are able to give an indication of your current cycling ability and any illness or disability that may be relevant to the assessment.  Please note that individuals who normally require a carer to undertake outdoor activities will need to be accompanied by a carer who is capable of cycling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ride Arrangements <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Your initial assessment and first ride with our volunteer trained ride leaders are free. After this, your club annual membership of \u00a310.00 is due and rides will cost just \u00a35.00 each, though if using your own trike or bike, just \u00a32.50. Ride fees are payable in advance by Pay Pal or bank transfer (BACS).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We aim to have 3 organised bike rides a week, but this can vary week by week depending on the availability of leaders etc. so they are planned on a weekly basis. Members are informed of ride dates and times by email at the end of the preceding week and may reply to book their ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whilst on rides we ask everyone to co-operate fully with our ride leaders and buddies who should be treated respectfully at all times. The length and route of the ride will be governed by the ability of the participants; leaders will check regularly that all riders are comfortable to continue and may decide to shorten a ride if necessary. For participants with particular needs, one to one rides are also available.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Rides cancelled by Wheel Together for any reason such as severely inclement weather, will have ride fees refunded. Cycling participants need to give at least twenty-four hours\u2019 notice before a ride if they are unable to attend, and there will be no charge. If we are not informed, full payment must be made for absence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whilst on our rides, cyclists must wear a hi-vis jacket loaned by us. Helmets are also essential and are provided for initial rides only. We prefer people to buy their own once they have decided that cycling is for them! Please come with water and any other essentials such as layers of clothing with the weather in mind.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
